Payment for our services is due 7 days from the date of the invoice unless otherwise agreed or stated. As the fee is based on property type, if the number of floors/storeys/bedrooms is different than that quoted at the time of booking the appointment, we reserve the right to amend our fee accordingly. If the completion of a report is impossible or impractical for reasons beyond our control it may be necessary to arrange another appointment. EDJ Services reserves the right to charge for the original appointment on a pro rata basis (Usually 50% of fee).
EDJ Services cannot undertake an inspection where a young person (under the age of 16) is left in charge.
We will exercise our statutory right to add an administration fee of £15 and an additional £2 per day for invoices deemed as unpaid and also compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to our indicated payment terms. In cases where our services have produced documentation in advance of payment, we may cancel documentation as Not for Issue rendering them legally useless. Re-issuing of documentation will be charged at the original invoice value plus an additional 50% surcharge. Additional charges are applicable ay 9:00am on the day after the invoice due date.
The Owners and staff of EDJ Services are obligated to declare any conflict of interest and/or financial relationships with others involved in the transaction or commissioning of the report.
An EPC is not valid until it has been allocated a report reference number (RRN).
EDJ Services cannot be held responsible for the consequences of any delays over which it has no control.
In the unlikely event of a dispute regarding the service provided, a Complaints Procedure is available on request.
